Your rights and obligations when using Pathlog family tracking services

Pathlog Pty. Ltd. ABN [TO BE ASSIGNED] offers family location tracking services through our mobile applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and accessible at pathlog.com (collectively, the "Service").

IMPORTANT: Family Consent Required

All family members must consent to location sharing. For children under 18, parents or guardians must provide consent. Anyone can withdraw consent and request removal at any time.

Misuse Warning: Using this service to track anyone without consent may constitute stalking or harassment under applicable laws.

1. Acceptance and Term

1.1. Pathlog Pty. Ltd. ABN [TO BE ASSIGNED] ("Pathlog", "we", "us" or "our"), owns the Software and Services accessible via our mobile applications and website. These Terms are entered into between you and us.

1.2. These Terms:

  • set out the terms upon which we grant you a right to use the Software and Services; and
  • are binding from when you accept these Terms until terminated.

1.3. In these Terms, "you" means: (a) the individual creating a Family Account; or (b) family members invited to join a Family Account ("Family Members").

Key Requirements:

  • You must be 18+ to create an account
  • You must have authority to invite family members
  • All family members must consent to tracking

2. Family Accounts and Services

2.1. When you register an Account, you become the Primary Account Holder and can create a Family Group to invite Family Members to share location information.

As Primary Account Holder, you may:

  • Customize Family Account settings
  • Invite Family Members to join your Family Group
  • Set up location alerts and safety zones
  • View location history and analytics
  • Manage subscription and billing

2.2. You must ensure all information provided is accurate and that you're authorized to provide family member information.

2.3. You are responsible for all Account activity, including activity by Family Members. We are not responsible for managing family relationships or disputes.

3. Payment for Subscriptions and Services

3.1. To access premium features, you must maintain an active subscription. Pricing is shown in the mobile applications.

In-App Purchases Only

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process payments directly. Refund policies are governed by Apple or Google's terms.

3.2. Free Trial: Your subscription may begin with a free trial. We determine eligibility and may revoke trials to prevent abuse.

3.3. If you don't cancel during the free trial, you'll be charged through your Apple/Google account. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

3.4. We may modify subscription fees with notice. Updated fees apply to your next billing cycle. Cancel before then if you disagree.

4. License and Restrictions on Use

4.1. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

Prohibited Uses:

  • Use the Services for defamatory, offensive, or unwanted communications
  • Damage, interfere with, or disrupt the Services
  • Introduce viruses or malicious code
  • Share your account credentials (except with authorized family members)
  • Conduct security breaches or penetration testing
  • Interfere with other users' use of the Services
  • Send harassment via messaging
  • Circumvent security measures

11. Termination

11.1. You may terminate your subscription anytime through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Termination is effective at the end of your current billing cycle.

We may terminate your Account immediately if:

  • You breach these Terms and don't remedy within 10 days
  • You breach Terms that cannot be remedied
  • You use Services illegally or without proper consent
  • We reasonably believe you're using Services for stalking/harassment
  • We receive a court order requiring us to cease service
  • You fail to pay subscription fees

11.2. Upon termination:

  • We immediately cease providing Services
  • All location tracking stops immediately
  • Personal data is deleted within 30 days (unless required by law)
  • You remain liable for outstanding obligations
