3. Location Data

3.1 What Location Data We Collect

  • Precise GPS coordinates - accurate to within a few metres
  • Time stamps - when you were at each location
  • Movement data - speed and direction of travel
  • Place names - addresses of locations you visit
  • Geofence events - when you enter/leave designated areas

3.3 Battery & Accuracy

Continuous tracking uses battery. You can adjust location accuracy in your device settings. Less accurate tracking uses less battery but may affect features.

  • Turn off location permissions anytime in device settings
  • Pause location sharing temporarily in the app
  • Leave your family group to stop all sharing
  • Delete your account to remove all historical data

4. How We Use Your Information

4.1 Primary Purpose - Family Location Sharing

We use your location data to:

  • Show your real-time location to family members
  • Send notifications when you arrive/leave places
  • Display your location history (past 60 days)
  • Calculate estimated arrival times
  • Trigger alerts for geofence events

We use other information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Send important service updates

5. Who We Share Information With

Location data is shared ONLY with members of your family group.

  • You control who's in your group
  • Maximum 3 members (Tier 1) or 10 members (Tier 2)
  • Members can only see each other, not other Pathlog families
  • Anyone can leave the group anytime

9. Children's Privacy

9.1 Our Approach to Children's Privacy

We take special care with children's data. Only parents or legal guardians can add children to a family group.

Teenagers 13-17
